Yesterday I told you about my friend Amy and the drawing tutorials she is posting on her Facebook page for others to use. I just find it so inspiring and amazing how people are putting out ideas and activities for kids (and adults) on social media to do during this trying time, this world is truly full of AMAZING people with big, big hearts.
Amy, an AMAZING artist, broke it down to our (my!!!) non-drawing level to actually create animals and characters. She has made it super simple and when I showed them to my kids, they LOVED it and begged me to print them out ASAP. I printed out each tutorial for all of them…even Shay may want to draw a mermaid…or merman one afternoon…ya never know when/if we get desperate…haha!!
Doing just one drawing at this particular time, seriously gave me 25 minutes of QUIET. They were so into their drawings. I will say, Chandler is more of the family “artist” so she truly took her time…that is why there is only 1 drawing from her, but Matti Jane and Shay loved it too. Shay had as much fun naming his too…hahaha
They could choose from a princess, a bunny, a chick, a mermaid and a dragon. (Amy has since added a unicorn and a super simple elephant as they were big requests from her younger followers ;-))
Matti Jane chose the bunny because “Easter is right around the corner Mommy”.
Chandler chose the princess…because, well, she is a little princess 😉
And Shay, he chose the dragon 🙂
They LOVED it and were concentrating so hard!!
“Mommy, look at my dragon’s tail?!?!”
Their final products…for now. We plan on doing a lot of drawing, thanks to Amy breaking each step down for us.
I asked Amy if it was ok to share her page so others could follow along and she happily said “of course!!”
**How to get the pictures – I have put them here if you want to print, or you can get them from Amy’s page, which is what I did. I simply saved each as a photo and then printed those out**
