Matti Jane turned 9 on September 23rd. I cannot for the life of me believe that she will be double digits next year. HOW?!?! This year, she wanted to go to New York City and see Frozen on Broadway. It was such a GREAT weekend. We actually saw the show on Friday evening so that we did not have to cut our Saturday short. It worked out perfectly.
You guys, I cannot recommend Frozen on Broadway enough…FANTASTIC. I went in with low expectations for some reason and left thinking it may be my favorite Broadway show!!
We stayed at the JW Marriott with this amazing view of Central Park.

Saturday AM began with a great breakfast at a traditional NYC deli. The kids were thrilled with Nutella and Oreo pancakes!!
Matti Jane also requested that we ride the subway…so we took it one whole stop…hahaha
We hung out a bit in Bryant Park…such a beautiful park on a perfect day.
Our sweet sweet birthday girl!! Her good friend, Zoe, gave her this shirt knowing she was going to NYC. She rocked it all day on Saturday 🙂
After Bryant Park we went to a new experience/show in New York City called Pip’s Island. It was very very cool!! It is an interactive show, where the kids help make choices. The best way for me to describe it is a combination of Jack and the Neverland Pirates and Power Rangers cartoon, where the kids are involved.
We also went to FAO Schwarz for the first time. Peter’s sister, Emily and family, gave Matti Jane a FAO Schwarz gift card for her birthday. Talk about the perfect NYC birthday gift!!
We were very fortunate that Peter’s cousin Collin and his family as well as Peter’s sister Emily and her family came into the city and had dinner with us. We had dinner at Carmine’s, a Times Square staple. DELICIOUS!!

Frozen on Broadway was DEFINITELY a highlight, but coming in a very close second was the Eloise breakfast at The Plaza. So stinken special. We kept this as a surprise and it was worth it!!
