Sweet, sassy and everything in between is our Chandler Catherine. She turned 7 last Tuesday, September 3rd. We spent the day (literally from sun up to sun down) celebrating her!! She came down to balloons and presents that morning. I met her at lunch at school and she passed out birthday cookies. After school pick up and homework, we went straight to the jewelry store to get those little ears pierced (we did the same for Matti Jane on her 7th birthday…see that post here). She was literally on Cloud 9!! After ear piercing, it was field hockey practice where she passed out more birthday cookies to her teammates. For dinner, she choose Salsas…all so she could wear that hat (see below) and have them sing for her, hahaha.
I will admit, I totally try to talk my kids out of huge birthday parties and talk them into a trip away. It’s a lot less work and in my opinion, a lot more memories!! Chandler chose a weekend at Hershey Park!! They really did an amazing job in creating a wonderful weekend packed with tons of memories (and LOTS of candy…hahaha)
I swear they would choose the indoor pool even over the Park!!
I know we all look scared to death…but they asked to go TWICE!!
A wonderful dinner after a long but super fun day!!
When we went in March (see post here), one of our favorite memories was doing the Hot Chocolate tasting at the Milton Hersehy Museum. Chandler asked to go on Sunday before we headed home.
They were SO exhausted!! I consider that a SUCCESS!!

It is so fun to see the wonderful trips you take with your kids. I have never seen a mom do so many creative and special ways to celebrate her children’s birthdays!
