It’s Friday Eve!!! Everyone have fun plans for the long weekend?!?! We are starting ours off with a framily (friends that are really family ;-)) birthday celebration tomorrow afternoon. We have my nephew’s birthday party on Sunday and who knows what fun we will fit in on Saturday and Monday!!
So, there’s this sweater. I visited one of my besties in Skaneateles, NY in June. She took me in this adorable boutique, Skaneateles 300 and I fell in love. Adorable, on trend and amazing customer service. Unfortunately, it would be a 7 hour trek just to shop there, but because the owner, Geraldine is so sweet, I don’t have to. I saw this sweater online, DM’ed her on Instagram and 2 days later, in was in my mailbox!! Can you imagine how often I’ll rock this beauty?!?
Almost every time I wear these shorts, I am asked where I bought them. I bought them about 9 years ago from a Saks Off Fifth Outlet store outside of Philadelphia (where we were living at the time). So, as you can imagine, they are not available anymore. But, not to fret, I know we all want age-appropriate jean shorts. My girlfriend, Carly, from ThirtySomethingFashion, just rocked the perfect pair (here). Look how great (and totally age-appropriate!!) she looks here!!
I have been on the hunt for a hat like this for a while. While I love my Eric Javits hats for the summer (they block 95% of UVA/UVB sun rays!!), I need a hat for the Winter. And, since I am feeling a bit western-y these days (I am blaming it on my 2 amazing visits to Colorado this year!!), I wanted one with a subtle western vibe. Not full-out Cowboy hat y’all, but maybe you can tell I bought it in Denver?!?!
It was perfect for this past Saturday morning while we ran errands and it was, shall I say, a bit chilly in Maryland in August?!?! The last couple of days have been so amazingly enjoyable, but we all know the late Summer temps and humidity is going to kick in strong before Fall actually arrives.
