Yesterday was the bad news, today is the good news!! Our dear friends, the Hinkles, are back in the States!! The Navy took them to Japan, which was supposed to be for 3 years, and only ended being for 9 months. Even though they aren’t moving back to St. Mary’s right now, we know they’ll be back after Washington state 🙂
I just adore Ali, Peter and Greg get along so well, Kathleen is Matti Jane’s best friend FOREVER (2 old souls together!!) and I cannot wait to see the trouble Chandler and CeCe are going to get into…hahaha.
Myself and two other friends of Ali’s, hosted the Welcome Home party at my house this past Sunday. Lots of friends, lots of smiles and lots of hugs!!
Last week was a bit chaotic…Peter was out of town, we had swim meets and other events all week long and during my time of me checking things off on my list, I ordered personalized water bottle labels and did not double check the spelling of their last name…ughhhhhh. They arrived and I was just so frustrated with myself!!! What I really wanted to do was get on the computer, reorder them and pay a ridiculous amount for overnight shipping. But, I decided to make light of the situation (make fun of myself) and turn it into a lesson for everyone 🙂
We decided to keep the party inside, at least for the meal. It was 100 degrees and probably felt like 120. The group that was there made it so darn enjoyable. I truly love each of these people here 🙂
After lunch Peter took the kids out on the boat to do some tubing. Everyone had a blast. The ones that were waiting their turn to go on the boat did lots of paddle boarding.
Ali, we love you and are SO GLAD you’re back in the States!!!
