This past Friday, June 7th was Peter and my 11th wedding anniversary. We were lucky enough to have dinner at the same restaurant we celebrated our 1 year anniversary, The Fearrington House which is located at Fearrington Village in North Carolina. It was as amazing this time as it was 10 years ago. My favorite part of the night was our conversation about the past year and all of our highs together and how we are more in love at year 11 than we were at year 1.
We also chatted about how much we have to be grateful for. We have 3 amazing kids and each of their personalities are totally blossoming. Matti Jane is an incredibly kind human being. She is constantly thinking of other people, their feelings and truly always wants to do the right thing. Chandler, she’s our little firecracker. Her humor and wit is amazing. I just question where it comes from as Peter or myself are not very funny 😉 And, she is smart…very smart. It’s amazing to watch. Shay, oh my sweet Shay. He is as sweet as he is smart as he is handsome. My little brown eyed babe has totally come into his own. Just HILARIOUS!! And unbelievably obsessed with sports…any sport – soccer, lacrosse, rugby, baseball, basketball and his favorite, FOOTBALL!!!
We also talked about how thankful we were for the past year and how we did more than usual travel. We did most of the traveling together, half with the kids showing them other parts of the country and world, and half just he and I, having uninterrupted conversation!!
I wore this super colorful and fun dress that I found at Shopbop. Sadly it is sold out, but I have found more gorgeous dresses by the same designer, Borgo de Nor
