Mother’s Day LOVE

Sunday was such a great day!!  I woke up to little notes around the house –

  • Shay’s at my nightstand saying “I love snuggling”
  • Chandler’s was a picture of me, her and the Sweet Frog
  • Matti Jane left her note that said “I love you Mommy” with my face products because she said she knew that would be the first place I went in the morning.  Hahahaha

Peter and the kids made a sweet small breakfast of homemade bacon and mixed berries.  We kept it on the light side since we were going to No Thyme to Cook for a Mother’s Day Waffle Brunch.  After our breakfast 1.0, I opened more cards and gifts.  Chandler filled out one of my FAVORITE surveys…I am 20 years old, 80 pounds, I laugh when “Shay says’s ‘Shay Christopher Johnston'” and if I had extra time, I would “love to sunggle with me”.  I’ll take ALL OF THAT!!!  Matti Jane made a Love Bug card with her picture inside and Shay colored a butterfly card for me!!

Peter gave me a couple pieces of clothing that would be good for hiking as we are going to Peru for our 10 year wedding anniversary in a few short weeks.  Manchu Picchu, here we come!!

Breakfast 2.0 at No Thyme to Cook was amazing.  The food was great, but the best part…NOTHING TO CLEAN UP!!

The rest of the day was spent relaxing and enjoying time with friends.  Peter even made the ultimate sacrifice for dinner, hahaha.  He planned on making a wonderful dinner for me, but the day got past us.  I looked at him and said “let’s just grab McDonalds babe”…he smiled that smile that meant “only because I REALLY love you” and we enjoyed a quick, yummy and EASY to clean up dinner!
