Happy Easter Monday. Well, you guys, as soon as you think you have it together, reality hits you smack dab in the face 😉 My kids are on different Spring Break schedules because Shay’s Christian Preschool follows the public school schedule. So, I asked a girlfriend yesterday if her 2nd and 4th graders had school today and she said yes…to make up snow days. So, this Mom-of-the-year showed up at Shay’s preschool bright and early for school today and you guessed it, not one single car in the parking lot. But, trust me, I am not complaining having that little guy home with me all day 😉
The Easter Bunny delivered and the kids were thrilled. The candy was kept to a minimum, 2 books each, bubbles, a pack of Bunch of Balloons, the girls received umbrellas and Shay a garbage truck and outfits for everyone. They also received baskets from their grandmother, baskets from my parents and baskets from our wonderful neighbors. Spoiled, to say the least 🙂
I ordered my centerpiece from Days of May Florals. I could not be happier…the blooms are gorgeous and looked amazing on the table.
I made these bunny pipe cleaner napkin rings on Saturday night. They were actually very simple and quick to make. Matti Jane and Chandler had originally wanted to help, but after seeing the glue and the teeny eyes, they decided to let me do it on my own. I think they’d be a perfect project for a 10 year old 🙂
The kids did, however, help me make the jellybean jars for the kids table. I handled putting the peeps on the skewers, but each of them took turns pouring the jellybeans in the mason jars. We also wrapped $1 coloring books from Michael’s to let the kids stay busy while the adults finished eating dinner.
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter as well 🙂 We head to NYC tomorrow and to say we’re excited is an understatement. Although, I am NOT excited about the Spring weather we get to experience :-/ I mean, they canceled the Yankees game today of SNOW!!!

Did you buy the napkin or placemat that’s wrapped or did you make them?
I already had the pink cloth napkins (from Pier 1), rolled them and then put the pipe cleaners around them. Truly, SUPER EASY!!!
