Pink Ruffles for Mother’s Day

Yesterday was my perfect day 🙂   I woke up to fresh berries, orange juice and 2 peanut butter cups in bed!!  3 homemade cards from the kids and an incredibly gorgeous and thoughtful gift from Peter.  Next was chocolate chip and blueberries pancakes!!

We had decided we were going to a local winery that was having a nice Mother’s Day set up so we started packing our picnic once breakfast was over!!  Sandwiches, cherries, a tomato and cucumber salad and of course, lots of snacks for the kids.

Before we left, we headed out to the pier to take a good look at our new boat.  Peter and our friend Mike brought the boat home on Friday in the RAIN and it continued to rain most of Saturday, so yesterday was the first time we could get a good look at it.  Our amazing neighbor Ron, came with us and shot a couple pictures for us!!

Running Hare winery is about 45 minutes away and while the concept was GREAT, it was PACKED and finally very very warm out.  We stayed about 2 hours and then headed home for our first ride on the boat as a family.

And then we ended the day with a ride on the boat…absolutely perfect!!
