My Sister Got Engaged!!!

and I was part of the entire planning process!!!!  EEEEKKKKK

I am sure you’re asking yourself…how in the world was this possibly a surprise?!?!  Well, it was alllllll Ahmed’s idea.  Ever since we did the Thanksgiving post, Ahmed thought it would be great to have the actual proposal photographed.  So, he thought if I suggested a “Sisters” photo shoot to Colleen, that he could do it then.  The plan took place!!  The only people that knew was Ahmed, me and Tom (our amazing photographer!!).

I suggested she and I dress alike (hence the similar skirts and sweaters) and told her Tom suggested our parent’s house since thats where we grew up.  My parents house was actually Ahmed’s idea as he thought it was the prettiest place he could think of.  So, Ahmed parked his car in my Dad’s barn, he hid in the cottage right at the top of the pier.  Tom had Colleen and I turn around so he could “photograph the back of our outfits” and to put our arms around each other like loving sisters 😉  And thanks to the wind blowing 50 mph, we couldn’t hear Ahmed coming down the pier.  Once he was in place, Tom yelled “ok, got the back, turn around” and well, the pictures speak for themselves after that!!!

So, my Dad figured things out when Ahmed came walking out of the barn with a “nervous smile” on his face…but here we are FaceTiming my Mom afterwards.  She was still at work…it was 11 in the AM 🙂
