This is when I first met Kate of Kate Abt Designs.
I have always loved interior design and feel very comfortable with my own ability but this particular time, I just didn’t. I was pregnant with Shay and Chandler needed to move from the Nursery to her big girl bedroom and no matter how much Houzz-ing and Pinterest-ing and Google-ing I did, I could not get inspired. I knew I couldn’t pull it together in time for Shay’s arrival (and Webster was getting ready to put my picture beside the word PROCRASTINATION!!). I finally called the professional and So. Glad. I. Did.
The goal was a little girls room that she could grow into, I didn’t want to do this again in a couple of years. We decided on the color palette of light pink and gray. It stemmed from her baby seat that was in her Nursery. Kate also made the suggestion of adding built-in shelves and a window bench. WOW, such a huge result with those suggestions. She also suggested one of my favorite features in the room (and it was all of $20some dollars from Amazon) – the medallion on ceiling attached to her chandelier.
It went from there and I (and Chandler!!) truly could not be happier with the result.
