Blue Stripes and Cutoff Shorts

I adore the simpleness of this outfit – striped collared shirt, crewneck sweater, cutoffs and espadrilles.  All items that will last a long time!

I wore this outfit with my middle and youngest children on Monday to visit Clydesdale  farm and we had a blast!  They were both apprehensive to feed the horses but still enjoyed every second of the visit!  I was a little bit more comfortable 🙂

A View of Chandler’s Room

This is when I first met Kate of Kate Abt Designs.

I have always loved interior design and feel very comfortable with my own ability but this particular time, I just didn’t.  I was pregnant with Shay and Chandler needed to move from the Nursery to her big girl bedroom and no matter how much Houzz-ing and Pinterest-ing and Google-ing I did, I could not get inspired.  I knew I couldn’t pull it together in time for Shay’s arrival (and Webster was getting ready to put my picture beside the word PROCRASTINATION!!).  I finally called the professional and So. Glad. I. Did.

The goal was a little girls room that she could grow into, I didn’t want to do this again in a couple of years.  We decided on the color palette of light pink and gray.  It stemmed from her baby seat that was in her Nursery.  Kate also made the suggestion of adding built-in shelves and a window bench.  WOW, such a huge result with those suggestions.  She also suggested one of my favorite features in the room (and it was all of $20some dollars from Amazon) – the medallion on ceiling attached to her chandelier.

It went from there and I (and Chandler!!) truly could not be happier with the result.

Just a heads up, you are going to see A LOT of lace this Spring and Summer, certainly a top trend.  I am so glad I snagged this shirt at an adorable boutique during my visit to Mississippi last Fall.  I gave it some edge with the ripped jeans and this amazing clutch!
